My client is looking for two experienced and competent Procurement Managers to work on a Coal Fired Power Plant in Germany and Poland. Package and salary competitive and negotiable… Overview: This position is accountable for:- *Responsible for ensuring that products and services are purchased in a cost and time efficient manner. *Ensuring markets and vendors are fully represented and utilised in all procurement processes. *Execute on all Purchasing Requests as assigned. *Manage the tendering process, from vendor list proposal to preparing the recommendation for award. Conduct contract negotiations, preparing and issuing Purchase Orders and/or Contracts for equipment and materials, and third party services. *Prepare and issue all relevant procurement reports on a regular basis throughout the project life cycle. *Vendor relationship management, including general communications and regular meetings. * Defining KPI for vendors, and measurement of vendor performance. *Supporting Business Development for investment/project assessment and feasibility studies providing preliminary assumptions based on external and internal data. *Participates in the project planning process within Engineering & Construction, providing content and ensuring vendors and markets are efficiently tapped during the project Procurement Plan execution Lead Qualification processes *Maintaining and improving vendor and market knowledge by visiting fairs, conferences, publications and professional memberships. *Responsible for the integrity of Vendors' Database. Develops and improves the coordination between the technology specialist groups in regard to vendor qualification, market knowledge and dissemination, and specific framework and open contract agreements. *Responsible for financial outcome of the Procurement processes. Ensures fairness and openness of competition, vendor turnover and independence of the Procurement role within the Company's business units. *Participates in establishing and maintaining Procurement policies and procedures. Qualifications:- *5 or more year's management experience, preferably in matrix organisation. *Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline. *Master's degree desirable *10 years' experience in successfully negotiating contracts for a utility, independent power producer or heavy construction projects. *Experience in developing and managing budgets *Experience in multinational environments. *Superior Communication & Negotiation Skills Technically proficient with ERP systems, SAP within Power Generation. *Superior organisational skills *Superior analytical skills *Bi-lingual (French or Polish and English) *Experience in similar role in power plant construction. *Project management experience a plus.
