Manufacturing Manager £45,000 Selsey Our client urgently requires a Manufacturing Manager with a Technical background, able to lead, manage and coach a supervisory team with a workforce of around 70. You will be responsible for driving LEAN principles across the production facility, ensure on time delivery and increase profitability through continuous improvements. Manufacturing is predominantly single piece flow manufacture with a minimum order quantity of one. Your responsibilities will be as follows: " Ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed at all times and that employees are encouraged to take responsibility for their own health and safety and that of others. " Deliver goods on time in full. Liaise with planners to meet customer requested ship dates and optimize manufacturing efficiency within the schedule. " Create a multi-skilled, flexible workforce deskilling where appropriate. " Recruit new staff, authorize holidays, and manage sickness absence and overtime within budget levels. " Performance manage all staff in line with company procedures and processes. " Carry out regular reviews with supervisors to ensure the Company's objectives are met in performance, quality, health & safety, housekeeping and company rules. " Liaise with production engineers on product and production improvements. The ideal candidate will be; " +5 years manufacturing management experience in complex, manufacturing environment; " Experienced Manufacturing Manager with excellent man management and communication skills " Effective in coaching & developing others; " Practical knowledge and application of World Class Manufacturing principles; " The ability to manage a multiple and broad agenda; Anyone with NEBOSH qualifications or similar will be a real asset to the company. The position is located Near Chichester which is commutable from Chichester, Havant, Portsmouth, Southampton and Bognor Regis.
