Engineering Technician Needed! Competitive rate located in Surrey Skilled engineering technician needed to join a market leading organisation in waste management and the renewable energy sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated mechanical/electrical engineering technician to join a team working in an emerging and thriving industry. Role Description Working on a flexible shift basis, you will be responsible for providing the essential operation and maintenance of the power generation plant, carrying out daily reporting on the status of generation and gas systems and carrying out any necessary repairs. This will entail utilising fault-finding and troubleshooting skills to the area’s equipment and implementing short-term remedial measures required. This multi-skilled engineering technician role is the route to supervisory and higher management roles within this organisation. Required Experience With good engineering maintenance experience gained within a heavy engineering environment, you will be keen to transfer into a new sector where full product training will be given to develop industry competence. Qualified to ONC, NVQ III or apprentice trained (ideally in an electrical discipline although dual trained engineers will be considered), you will be a team player and experienced in the service, maintenance and repair of diesel engines and / or gas turbines.
