Project Co-ordinator - EMC and Safety Testing
Location - Worcestershire
Salary range - £24,000 - £28,000
The Company
A £14 million client that is set for significant organic growth over the next fiscal year. Currently requiring a Project Co-ordinator, this business are unique and operate within a very specialist and niche sector. The company specialise in the testing of various products from a phone, parts of nuclear submarines, helicopter parts, aerospace components or even military tank assemblies!
This is a great opportunity for you as they have never had a dedicated Project co-ordinator before and they are planning on rolling it out to all of their sites.
That being said, I need someone to go in and own the role!!!
The Role
The Project Co-ordinators responsibility is to ensure the cohesion between the EMC and Safety test labs to make sure incoming work gets prioritised and arranged accordingly. Role information:
• Managing about 10 orders through system at one time
• Client wants some testing that has EMC & Safety testing requirements
• You receive the order
• Check with the EMC and Safety labs to see what is booked and when you can get this assignment formally diarised
• When testing is underway you will have direct interaction with both EMC and Safety labs to document issues/progress/timescales etc
• Feedback all information to the respective client which could be people from SME's all the way through to Global heavy weights
• Purely Office based
• Probably 50% of time on the phone - talking to product managers who schedule work etc
• Providing reports on efficiency of projects.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application for Project Co-ordinator, you will ideally have the following:
• Happy to be office based
• Someone who has managed some form of workload between departments and owned the process ensuring things get done when they should be.
• Strong organising skills
• Have a proactive, assertive yet empathetic personality
• Good communicator
• Someone who spots problems and jumps on them
• IT literate
