You'll be responsible for producing concept bespoke designs and development for new or improved products and investigate new techniques and evaluate new materials. You'll be designing in accordance with the latest National and International standards. You'll liaise with different departments undertaking some project engineering tasks and being self-sufficient, therefore getting on with the job at hand, keeping to deadlines, and working within cost, quality and delivery constraints. To fulfil these requirements you must have the following skills / experience: *Experience of designing from customer specifications using 2D & 3D design - AutoCAD and Inventor preferably *Experience of hand calculations *Experience of working in a design environment in the valve industry *Experience of running your own project from initial concept through to completion *Understanding and experience of fabrication and assembly drawings *Understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001 and API standards *Understanding of FEA Analysis *Knowledge of the valve, pump or rotating industries The successful Design and Development Engineer will be offered the opportunity to join a leading organisation that works across the world.
