Environmental Consultant - Policy Specialist

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Technical contributions to projects. Covering evaluation of technical and policy measures; cost-effectiveness analysis; cost-benefit analysis; policy analysis and implementation at a UK and EU level; policy research; information collection; data analysis/modelling. Policy areas include climate change, air quality, chemicals, water, waste and resources. Proposal development. Support to bid managers by undertaking research and support work in above policy areas.

BA/BSc Hons Science, economics or engineering
MSc Environmental technology or policy

Experience
You will have:
Post graduate experience – Not essential, although previous proven experience would be preferable in environmental consultancy; environmental policy development; analysis of technical and policy measures for achieving environmental objectives; and/or quantification of costs and benefits.
Technical capability – evaluation of technical and policy measures for achieving environmental objectives; cost-benefit analysis; policy analysis at a national and European level. Policy experience related to at least one of the above policy areas would be preferable, as would knowledge of sectors affected by these policies.
Strong mathematical / quantitative modelling capability would be of benefit and excellent written and spoken English is a requirement.
