Job Title: Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer (Lake District) Location: Lake District Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (plus benefits) Are you a Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer that is looking for an opportunity that can offer long-term stability and career development in one of the most picturesque locations in the UK? Would you like to work with a major 1st tier supplier into the aerospace and heavy engineering industries? If so, and you have a good understanding of aerospace / automotive quality standards (AS 9100, EASA , TS 16949 etc) this may be the role for you…… As the Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer, your responsibilities will be as follows: *To provide Inspection support on 'at risk' processes *To assist the Technical and Product Development Teams with NPI activities. *To facilitate an increase in the knowledge and use of appropriate Quality tools within Improvement & Corrective Action teams *To act on behalf of the Quality Manager as 'sign-off' authority for customer concerns responses *To assist with the development and use of appropriate statistical techniques for process control and improvement. *To maintain departmental and site Quality metrics & Key Performance Indicators (KPI) *To produce dimensional reports for internal and external customers. *To create and manage a site PFMEA programme. *Assist senior inspectors with Measurement System Analyses. To perform the duties of the Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer, you must have the following skills / experience: *Apprentice / HNC / Degree qualified or equivalent experience *Understanding of AS 9100, TS 16949, ISO 9001 etc. *Good understanding of mainstream improvement techniques (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D etc) *Good understanding of statistical techniques (SPC, MSA etc) *Ability to influence / drive change *Excellent communication / problem solving skills The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to join an international 1st tier supplier located in one of the most picturesque locations in the UK.
