Due to growth an opportunity has arisen within a leading engineering company based in Cumbria for a Quality Engineer.

The responsibilities of the Quality Engineer are as follows:
*Assist in Maintenance & Improvement of the Quality Management System to ensure continued compliance to ISO9001
*Auditing suppliers & sub-contractors visit suppliers (product, process & system)
*Inspection of welded and fabricated parts
*Drive improvement activities
*Work with project teams to provide project quality plans ensuring timely delivery of final product

To fulfil these requirements you must have the following skills / experience:
*Strong quality experience from an engineering background
*Fully conversant with ISO9001
*Understanding of ISO14001 / OHSAS18001 is beneficial
*Auditing experience (lead auditor an advantage)
*Experience of working with welded & fabricated products
*Quality control experience, NDT & dimensional inspection
*MPI & CSWIP qualifications are beneficial although not essential
