A leading power systems organisation is actively looking to recruit a lead gas turbine design engineer to be based in London or Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading company. The Lead Gas Turbine Engineer will be required to develop gas turbine hot gas path components, manufacturing and repair development of OEM and non OEM parts. The gas turbine engineer will also be required to lead and manage programs and deliver on time and cost. They will be responsible for designing and developing hot gas path components such as blades, vanes and combustion components. The engineer will also lead the development program and manage all aspects of engineering development such as stress calculations, aero design and heat transfer calculations in order to produce solid components. The gas turbine engineer must have a proven track record in gas turbine hot gas path component design and manufacturing. A proven track record in gas turbine component design such as blades and vanes is essential. Educated to degree or equivalent level in mechanical engineering or aeronautical engineering.
