Service Technician

Our Client-

EarthStream is pleased to be assisting one of the most active organisations in the development of Offshore Wind Energy in Europe. This company own and operate major Offshore sites in the UK and are part way through construction of Round 2 developments. This organisation has ambitious and agreed plans to develop a major, multi GW Round 3 site and are currently in the process of identifying individuals to join an already experienced Projects team.

Job Description-

- Applicants will be expected to work at heights and in an offshore environment
- Fault finding and repair of turbine components.
- Involved in service work, involving heavy lifting operations using mobile cranes and lifting equipment.
- Ensuring of good turbine housekeeping according to best practice.
- Carry out organised retrofits.
- Faultfinding, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on all turbine systems, which will include mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies and major components.
- Proactive repair or component replacement to prevent complete failure or system downtime.
- Complying with all health and safety requirements including the WTSR.
- Providing out of hours and weekend response to turbine breakdown.
- Complete service records and checklists (ie. AWPs, Method statements, etc)

The Candidate-

- Qualification in electrical and/or mechanical disciplines to NVQ3 level (or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience).
