Electrical Engineer

Our Client - Earthstream are pleased to be working with one of the leading organisations in the development of Offshore Wind assets in UK waters.

This organisation owns and operates existing Wind farms and has ambitious plans to construct and develop significant round 3 sites.

Job Description - We are looking for a Senior or Electrical Engineer to undertake a challenging and responsible role on our development projects.

You will be responsible for supporting the UK development projects with electrical system/component knowledge, including wind farm layouts, platform concepts, energy export and onshore substation solutions, including cable systems and routes evaluation. You will also be responsible for coordination of all work package specific takes, and managing/developing a team of Electrical Engineers.

Candidate Requirements-

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent education in Electrical Power System Engineering. You will have excellent analytical and conceptual skills, able to drive innovative and strategic thinking, be self-organized and independent working.

You will have knowledge of Switchgears GIS, AIS (MV, HV), Transformers (dry, oil, water cooled for MV, HV), Protection systems, On/Offshore cables (LV, MV, HV, fibre optical cables) and basic understanding of SCADA/HMI and Remote Control Systems.

Ideally, you will be familiar with HVDC transmission, and design knowledge of offshore Wind Turbine Generators and Transformer Stations.
