My client is seeking an experienced ecologist to join and lead an established team working on a wide variety of projects. Applicants should have as a minimum a degree and be a member of IEEM. They should be able to work under their own initiative and be prepared to take on new challenges presented by the industry. The following criteria will also apply:- *Having experience of residential and mixed use development projects. *Have one or more protected species licence, with a bat licence preferable but not essential *Proven experience of undertaking and writing Environmental Impact Assessments. *Good working knowledge of Environmental Legislation including planning. *Good all round ecological survey skills *Being fully computer literate with GIS experience preferably Mapinfo software programme. *Experience of managing their own projects from cradle to grave *Commercial experience such as business development, junior staff mentoring and team management will also be viewed positively. *Report writing experience. *Full drivers licence. *Whilst based in London, the capacity to work at sites throughout the South East and wider UK would be expected.
