A leading power systems organisation is actively looking to recruit a customer support engineer for the in house service division. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leader in the power sector. An excellent salary/package is on offer for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

Support the Operation and Maintenance of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator, controls system and Accessory systems.
Prepare and write Gas Turbine Technical reports, technical procedures.
Support creation of RFQs and POs
Respond to requests for technical issue resolution, using technical product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles, standards, practices, procedures.
Escalate issues as required acting as the liaison between the field and design to drive specific technical resolution and to help engineering identify and drive corrective actions.
Establish and maintain relationships with customers to make customer technical issues/requirements understood and addressed in a timely manner.
Lead and manage root cause analysis for technical issues. Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting project assigned to resolve customer technical issue.
Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Prepare technical presentations for Customers ensuring the timely communication of significant issues or developments.
Travel to customer locations to support customer technical review meetings.
Support unplanned/forced outages to meet availability goals.

Candidate requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering is preferred with proven background in Gas Turbine design, operation, repair, service, or installation and commissioning
Knowledge of Siemens V94.2 gas turbine.
Strong knowledge of gas turbine and steam turbine controls system
Highly technical report writing skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
