Our client, a large EPC in Great Yarmouth are searching for a Lead C&I Engineer to join their team on a long term contract basis. Chief Control & Instrumentation Engineer (Technical), Engineering Services Manager (Project) - Degree level, chartered engineer, extensive experience in oil and gas industry, onshore gas plant and offshore upstream projects. - Applicants MUST have extensive Brownfield project experience and a demonstrable track record of meeting quality, schedule and budgetary criteria. - Applicants not meeting these criteria will not be considered. - Experience in working on lump sum contracts would also be an advantage. Lead Engineer for Detail Design of major and minor Brownfield modifications to onshore and offshore assets .The successful candidate will lead the C & I discipline, managing and co-ordinating the discipline activities in conjunction with the Project & Engineering Services Managers, and will act as the focal point for all discipline related issues. In addition the successful candidate will supervise minor electrical design activities. Lead Engineers have principal responsibility for the following: *Compliance and conformance to regulatory and project standards, codes, contract requirements. *Technical quality *Discipline management reporting *Schedule maintenance and progress monitoring *Manhour budget control and work allocation *Change management identification and control *Recruitment of high calibre engineers *Effective communication skills include being tactful and articulate Technical responsibility and skills for this role includes: *Highly skilled in interface management and co-ordination with principal vendors *System and equipment operating philosophies *Management and control of vendors for compliance to technical requirements *Sound knowledge of communications technology and practice for not permanently manned platforms *Equipment incorporated may include: *Subsea Control Systems; *Offshore Production and Injection Systems; *Control Safety Systems; *Emergency Shutdown; *Fire & Gas Detection; *Export Metering; *Chemical Injection; *Instrument and Plant Air; *Gas Compressors; *Drainage; *Power Generation; *Electrical Systems; *Condition Monitoring of critical equipment; *Communication Systems To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK Matchtech is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy. | Preferred Experience: | 5-10 years | Position Type: | Contract | Job Hours: | Full Time | Mandatory Requirement: National Residency or Valid Work Permit required: | No | Required for work/interview immediately: | No | Post Date: | 25/05/2012 | Expiration Date: | 24/06/2012 |
