Our client is a world leading engineering, project management and consultancy organisation. Structural Analyst (Defence/Nuclear) - Structures Analysis, Structural Analysis, Design, Fracture Mechanics, FEA, ABAQUS, ANSYS. They are looking to recruit a number of Structural Analysts to join their Consultancy business, to support design justification of engineering components to meet defence and nuclear codes and standards. There will be a requirement to spend time at their offices in Knutsford, and client offices in Barrow and Derby. Key Responsibilities Working as part of a team, involved in the design of components for nuclear submarines.Document key design decisions, undertake analysis and systems level testing to verify the performance of your design and to validate that the customer's requirements have been met. To be considered for this role, candidates will need to be a chartered engineer or equivalent and ideally be educated to degree level. You will have experience of using Finite Element software such as ABAQUS and ANSYS and have the ability to undertake FE analysis. You will also have knowledge of ASME III design code and knowledge of Fracture Mechanics Assessment Procedures.
