My client is renowned worldwide as a leader in the design and manufacture of large scale power generation products. Due to ongoing and sustained growth in their Aftermarket Division they now require several Project Managers to oversee the tendering and delivery of commercial contracts for the supply of their major Aftermarket projects. |
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a project management role preferably, but not essentially, within an engineering environment supplying capital plant equipment. You must be able to demonstrate experience of working in a KPI driven environment at interview. Ideally you will have experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline.
Most importantly you will have excellent communication and organisational skills as well as being truly driven with a can-do attitude. You will also be commercially astute and very customer focused. Sitting within the Commercial team of a growing business there are excellent career prospects available for the right candidates.
Main Duties include:
*Managing operational aspects of commercial projects and tendering including all associated warranty commitments
*Constructing and issuing quotations for Aftermarket enquiries, providing excellent customer service and timely tender turn round times, ensuring opportunities are exploited to the fullest extent
* Maintaining excellent levels of customer satisfaction and meeting KPI's
*Working with Sales Managers to ensure all offers are followed up, and that feedback received is input as appropriate into Company systems
*Managing allocated projects to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budgeted cost, and highlighting issues at the earliest opportunity
*Negotiating and recording customer project variations
*Minimising Company's exposure to liabilities
*Maintaining current and accurate records within the Company's CRM system
*Tracking project deliverables and costs using appropriate tools
*Monitoring and reporting on progress of projects and tenders in a timely manner
*Ensuring all payments are received within the time frame defined in the contract and highlighting deviations
*Performing tender and project evaluations including effective cost control function on projects feeding in closed contract information to the standard cost and pricing database
*Working with Sales Managers and Customer Services Managers to assess customer satisfaction on all projects completed and future sales opportunities
*Completing monthly reports as requested by Management
