Construction Manager (EPCM / Wind Construction Project) - South Africa

CA Global: Power and Energy (Africa Positions) have a client that is in need of a Construction Manager (EPCM / Wind Construction Project). The position is based in Cape Town, South Africa.

OVERVIEW
To manage construction of various Wind Farm Projects in South Africa.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Civil or electrical engineering degree
• In depth knowledge and experience within the Power industry in South Africa
• Vast knowledge of EPC and EPCM construction projects, Wind Farm construction experience is preferred
• Experienced as a construction Manager for the full project life-cycle
• Registered as a Professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Construction Manager role
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
• Broad background of previous exposure to various disciplines, civil, electrical, mechanical on construction projects and accumulated knowledge base of construction methods used in these disciplines.
• Direct experience in establishing, monitoring and managing project construction budgets
• Working knowledge of and experience in development, managing and analyzing project schedules, including use of Microsoft Project or similar CPM scheduling software
• Excellent communication skill, written and spoken
• Ability to travel as needed
