UK Sales Engineer - Materials Science or Composites Profile for job 8203 2A AB - Materials Science & Composites UK Sales Engineer ATA Recruitment is looking to identify an experienced Materials Science or Composites Sales Engineer to join a multi-million pound business. Due to a recent promotion within the group, my client is now looking to recruit a highly experienced Sales Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for long-term career security. You will need to possess a proven sales background in Materials Science or Composites with a minimum HNC or HND in Mechanical, Materials Science or Composites Engineering. Success in this role could see the role progress into a more senior role within 4 or 5 years however, this will be dictated by your success during this time. Key responsibilities: The role of the Materials Science & Composites UK Sales Engineer will be as follows: 1. Home based 4 days per week and 1 day working from home 2. Covering a territory from Oxfordshire up to and including Scotland therefore you must be based within this territory 3. You will inherit £1.1 million worth of accounts to grow and manage 4. There will be a healthy blend of new business and account management. 50% of your time will be spent managing existing accounts and 50% targeting new and dormant customers 5. Your role will be to meet all clients face to face, targeting Technical Engineers, Designers, Project Managers and Quality Managers to establish what current or future projects they are working on 6. Typically you will have a tour of their facilities to establish what Materials or Composite methods they employ, and to fully understand their business, processes and applications 7. From there you will be working to specifications ensuring all the technical and commercial criteria has been met 8. Closing all sales Experience and background: 1. Mechanical or Materials Sciences or Composites Engineering qualification 2. A proven track record in sales in the following areas:- Materials, Composites, Fibre Glass, Vacuum Bagging, Tooling Materials, Mould, Structural Re-Enforcements, Adhesives, Resins or an Extrusion Sales background 3.
