One of Matchtechs key clients in Aberdeen are looking for a Quality Control and Inspection engineer. The company are a drilling and well services company looking to expand their team further. The QC & Inspection Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager. The QC & Inspection Engineer is designated to control and follow up all Quality Control, Inspection and certification issues regarding the design, manufacture, testing and subsequent shipping of Fabricated items. Key responsibilities This role will be required to: -To ensure Material, Fabrication and Equipment compliance with Company Requirements, Legislation specification in accordance with Base Requisition using third party call off specialist. -Responsible for coordination and issue of Close Out Reports. -Ensure compliance with project specific Codes and Standards for all fabricated items and materials in accordance with Base Requisition using third party call off specialist. -Verify Inspection and Certification requirements within Technical Design deliverables (Lead Engineer). -Compiling and maintaining all 3rd party inspection review/witness and hold points. -Responsible for closure of Inspection hold points. -Expediting documentation in accordance with submitted Manufacturers Record Book. -Monitoring sub-contractor procurement schedule and reporting on progress. -Review, approval and control of 3rd party material certification. -First Point of Contact with Client Inspectors. -Review 3rd party Inspection Test and Quality Plans when required. -Collate 3rd party Release Certification for finished product ensuring input into ProArc. -SDFE focal point for QC Certification Issues (onshore and offshore). -To respect colleagues, clients and subcontractors at all levels, dealing with any dispute or conflict in a professional and personable manner -Any other reasonable duties as specified by Line Manager.
