THE ROLE

Working within the Mining division you will be managing the design and development of Mine Winders and associated equipment to client specification.

Mining Projects currently take place in Australia, South Africa and Canada but this work is all office based with occasional customer visit but 1-3 times a year MAX and only for a week or so.

• Manage and co-ordinate design teams to meet project objectives and provide key technical interface to the customer. 
• Plan and progress all design, test and commissioning activities for specific projects.
• Deliver full systems (including power distribution, motors, variable speed drives, PLCs, HMI and high level computer systems).
• Monitor, control and manage engineering budgets and change control systems.
• Provide technical advice and assistance to the Project team, Tendering, Commissioning and Service.

THE PERSON

The successful Project Engineer will have;

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience working in the Mining Industry and specifically on Mine Winders
• Knowledge of key aspects of power engineering, electrical drive systems and automation on integrated projects is essential supported by strong design background.
• Candidates will need to be able to achieve basic security clearance.
